Implants

One of the many important advances in implant dentistry over the last 25 years has been the development of miniature dental implants, or mini-implants, used to stabilize dentures. Dental implants can be placed in one visit, in about an hour, during a simple procedure that requires no cutting of the gums or stitches. With placement, there is little discomfort and no long-term healing, just great results!

Implants are placed into your jawbone and are securely attached the base of your denture, allowing you to eat and speak more comfortably and confidently. Thousands of patients have experienced the benefits of mini implants. Contact us today to find out if you are a candidate for this affordable and revolutionary solution to loose dentures.

Implant-supported Dentures

What Is It?

An implant-supported denture is a type of overdenture that is supported by and attached to implants. A regular denture rests on the gums, and is not supported by implants.

An implant-supported denture is used when a person doesn’t have any teeth, but has enough bone in the jaw to support implants. An implant-supported denture has special attachments that snap onto the implants.

You should remove an implant-supported denture daily to clean the denture and gum area. Just as with regular dentures, you should not sleep with the implant-supported dentures at night. Some people prefer to have fixed (permanent) crown and bridgework in their mouths that can’t be removed. Your dentist will consider your particular needs and what you prefer when suggesting fixed or removable options.
